The workshop will focus on the role of dry ports in strengthening regional transport connectivity, facilitating international trade, and developing efficient multimodal transport and logistics chains. Particular attention will be given to the integration of different modes of transport and the importance of dry ports in improving connectivity between inland transport networks, seaports and international transport corridors.
The event will also provide an opportunity to discuss the Intergovernmental Agreement on Dry Ports and exchange experience on the development and operation of dry ports across the region.
The workshop will bring together representatives of relevant government institutions, transport and logistics stakeholders, as well as international experts. Georgian representatives will also contribute to the discussions, highlighting the country’s role as an important regional transport and logistics hub.
The workshop will take place immediately following the Georgia International Maritime Forum 2026, to be held in Batumi on 7–8 September, further contributing to discussions on regional connectivity, multimodal transport and sustainable transport development.
