Eldar Majidov

Mr. Eldar Majidov is the Acting Chairman of the Governing Board of the State Maritime and Port Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a position he has held since May 2025.

Mr. Majidov began his professional career in 1998 and has since held a range of legal and managerial leadership positions across local and international organizations, building extensive expertise in corporate and legal practice. Alongside his professional work, he was active in academia from 2018 to June 2024, serving as a lecturer at both the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry and ADA University.

In January 2024, Mr. Majidov was appointed Advisor to the Chairman of the Governing Board of the State Maritime and Port Agency, a role that preceded his appointment as Acting Chairman.

Mr. Majidov holds a degree in International Relations and International Law from Baku State University (1997) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Maastricht University in the Netherlands (2007–2008).
