Mr. Ryan Sim

Mr Ryan Sim is the Centre Director at the MPA London Office based in the United Kingdom. The London Office is part of the MPA International Division that oversees and drives Singapore’s maritime interests globally, including at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) where Mr Sim serves as Singapore’s representative to the IMO.

Prior to this appointment, he was the Senior Sustainability Manager at the MPA Maritime Decarbonisation Division, where he was part of the pioneer team that developed and implemented policies for alternative fuels marine bunkering in Singapore. He also served various stints in the Operations-Technology cluster for a number of years, including at the Statistics and Data Systems Department and the Port Systems Division, where he worked on data policy and systems development for operational maritime systems.

Mr Sim has a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering with First-Class Honours from Imperial College London.
